When it’s cut properly, fire obsidian will show an incredible array of bright colors when viewed from the proper angle.įire obsidian’s effect is created through thin-film interference, much like rainbow obsidian, but the material here is ultra-thin layers of magnetite instead of the hedenbergite that causes the colors in rainbow obsidian.įire obsidian is extremely expensive compared to most varieties. It’s the most expensive and rare type of obsidian and requires a ton of experience to cut properly to view the visible effect. Sheen Obsidianįire Obsidian (credit: Jessa and Mark Anderson/ Flickr)įire obsidian is… something else. There are great places to find it in each state along the Western Coast of the USA, and some great examples also come from Mexico. Rainbow Obsidian is the second most expensive type of obsidian most of the time, but it’s very affordable compared to Fire Obsidian. This effect is caused by thin-film interference, think of it as a solid oil slick effect. This mineral is oriented in the rainbow obsidian and causes light entering the stone to act differently. The cause of this coloration? Nano-rods of hedenbergite. Rainbow obsidian can range from full-facing, incredible pastel colors to a barely visible sheen form an oblique angle. Some of the most striking examples are found in the aptly named Rainbow Mine in the Warner Mounts area. Rainbow obsidian is a prized material, varying greatly in colors. Before the discovery of fire obsidian, which has a much more intense effect, it was among the most expensive types. Rainbow obsidian is a variety that exhibits a rainbow pattern in concentric rings when the light hits the surface just right.

I have a Macbook also, and the degree of frustration I've had with it syncing from one device to the other is tremendous. It's quirky here and there, but nothing I can't deal with. To be honest, one of the main features that drew me to it versus Goodnotes was the ability to record audio. I've been using Notability for several months now. Style and ungroop feature have saved me some time rewriting stuff just to keep color consistency I really like some of the newer features you’ve added. It seems smoother the past few days, but I believe I’ve just changed my process on my report. This makes the lasso square go away, sometimes creating an endless loop of me redrawing the box. The quickest way to unfreeze is to tap outside the box with my finger, Apple Pencil won’t pick up. Once it picks up the text, I move it with the pencil. I try to move the lassoed text, with Apple Pencil, and it won’t work. I am generally duplicating highlights or pen. Then Monday morning, as soon as I opened Notability, it prompted me to choose a destination for the file. Friday I tried to add something 3 times, never showed up. I work around that one by just making sure I only have one window open when I load files. In the past I’ve noticed it’s when I have two windows open it always appears in the window in the background l, rather than the window I’m working on. Sometimes it doesn’t show up until I close the app and reopen. When it is a zip file, I send to Files app first, unzip, then create new note or add to existing. IPad sending a file to Notability, typically pdf in my case, from either internet source or from the Files app. The only complaint I had encountered is with the "brush pen" I think it switches too much with pen pressure, maybe tuning it could be a great idea! Maybe shortly, but for now I'm good with the app and I'm sad that this subreddit is all about complaining about the app (I understand those complaints). Said so, I understand all the critics about those changes and I understand that not everyone like them, but IMO they should give every user a choice. Loving the dark mode, finally, someone implements it in a good way. I love the fact that there are no borders on the page, I had always hated them. I love the handwriting smoothing, too many times my pen slipper was on the glass surface of the iPad, and the pencil feature is awesome for sketching and graph even if goodnotes added Audio recording it's not good as the one here. Now I'm switching back to notability from goodnotes, and I can say: it's good. I've been using Notability and goodnotes since 2018, and I have switched between them about every 1 year. This was only a taste of what can be done with MJML. MJML will give you the option to do this when you’re ready to export to HTML. Certain email clients will cut off emails if the size of the email is too big (for Gmail, the limit is 102kb), but you can avoid this by making the file size smaller, which is also known as minifying the code. However, all of this additional HTML is nestled snugly within the simple lines of code you just created with MJML.Īnother great perk of MJML is the ability to minify your code. But why? When you look closely through the HTML, you’ll notice all the extra styling and nesting that you would’ve had to do if you had been solely working with HTML. The email we coded above was only about 20 lines long while the HTML is almost 200. Scalero’s platform also supports MJML so our users have the flexibility to use it when creating templates.Īfter converting your MJML into HTML, whether you copy or export the code, you’ll also notice that there are many more lines of HTML code than there are MJML code.

Īfter WWII, the original jeep continued to serve, in the Korean War and other conflicts, until it was updated in the form of the M38 Willys MC and M38A1 Willys MD (in 19 respectively), and received a complete redesign by Ford in the form of the 1960-introduced M151 jeep. General George Marshall, Chief of Staff of the US Army during the war, called the vehicle "America's greatest contribution to modern warfare." In 1991, the MB Jeep was designated an "International Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark" by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Eisenhower, who was Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe in World War II, wrote in his memoirs that most senior officers regarded it as one of the five pieces of equipment most vital to success in Africa and Europe. Moreover: military jeeps were adopted by countries all over the world, to this day – so much that they have become the most widely used and recognizable military vehicle in history. Hyde wrote: "In many respects, the jeep became the iconic vehicle of World War II, with an almost mythological reputation of toughness, durability, and versatility." Not only did it become the workhorse of the American military, as it replaced the use of horses and other draft animals (still heavily used in World War I) in every role, from cavalry units to supply trains, but improvised field modifications also made the jeep capable of just about any other function G.I.s could think of. Aside from large amounts of 1 1⁄ 2- and 2 1⁄ 2‑ton trucks, and 25,000 3⁄ 4‑ton Dodges – some 50,000 1⁄ 4‑ton jeeps were shipped to help Russia during WWII – against Nazi-Germany's total production of just over 50,000 Kübelwagens, the jeep's primary counterpart. allies, including the Soviet Union at the time. On the very first episode of the anime, Usagi's brother Shingo comes home to find her banging on the front door after getting kicked out of the house again. She and Chibi-Usa are both terrified of them and think that the only dentist in town is sadistic. In The '90s anime, it's always golden blonde. Adaptation Dye-Job: In the manga, Usagi/Sailor Moon's hair is most often pale blonde and changes to silver-white as her past incarnation Princess Serenity and future self Neo-Queen Serenity. In the live-action, Princess Serenity as Princess Sailor Moon is a Yandere for Endymion and the big Plot Twist is that it was her, not Metaria, who destroyed the Moon and Earth Kingdoms with the Silver Crystal. Adaptational Villainy: In the manga, Princess Serenity was a sweet girl who fell off the Despair Event Horizon after Endymion was killed and the Moon Kingdom was destroyed. In the 90's anime however, she doesn't realize it until he transforms right in front of her. Adaptational Dumbass: In the manga, Usagi was able to figure out Mamoru was Tuxedo Kamen on her own.Adaptational Attractiveness: She was probably initially meant to be average-looking schoolgirl, but here goes ◊.It's mostly played for laughs, but Usagi does seem to have a complex about this. And of course there's the infamous Makoto breast boast. A Droid also casts an illusion which draws attention to this. For example, in Sailor Moon S, she unintentionally causes Viluy's death, by using Rainbow Moon Heartache against her bracelet. Accidental Murder: There are instances in which Sailor Moon unintentionally leads enemies to their deaths.Though initially frightened by this responsibility, Usagi grows over the course of the series from a spoiled crybaby unsure of herself and her abilities into a brave fighter for love and justice (though she never quite gives up her goofy ways). It is later revealed that she is the reincarnation of Princess Serenity from centuries past, and that she will one day become Neo-Queen Serenity and rule the world. Usagi is an ordinary junior high school student who discovers one day, thanks to the appearance of her Mentor Mascot Luna, that she is a warrior destined to protect Earth from the evils that threaten to destroy it. There is very little concrete information, both because "embalming fluid" is slang for PCP and also because the two are often mixed together. Maybe this is beating a dead horse (an embalmed one), but for my own reasons, I've wanted to learn whether embalming fluid really is something people use on its own. I found a couple articles (only the abstracts, actually) trying to directly address this.Įmbalming fluid.new high or new guise for PCP? Not 100% clear to me if the effects of wet sherm wickie sticks "illy" (a term used in Connecticut) are due to PCP alone. I don't know enough about chemistry resources to look up the solubility profile of PCP, but it seems a plausible explanation. Perhaps emb fluid does nothing, it's just that PCP is more soluble in formaldehyde than other solvents. tobacco, marijuana), and smoked when dry. What I see most frequently mentioned is formaldehyde used as the solvent for dissolving PCP, then applied to smoking material (i.e. There are reports of ethnographic observations (kinda like a combination of anthropology and journalism) of dealers preparing this for sale. It seems absolutely clear that some people do think it does something, and so some try to use it as a drug. Neurology, Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, Substance Abuse, The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, and others). Serious peer-reviewed science journals have reported that smoking formaldehyde dipped cigarettes causes health effects, so there must be something remaining after evaporation right? (E.g. Do embalming fluid and formaldehyde eventually evaporate "clean" at room temperature - i.e., not leaving behind any residual chemicals that could intoxicate (the way, I believe, isopropyl aka rubbing alcohol would do, or does some residue of formaldehyde or additives remain)? That seemed like the clearest reason to skeptical, but my educational/professional background is far from chemistry (really wish I had taken the time to study that subject!), so it's a topic I wouldn't conjecture about. For instance, if you have a $50 specialist copay, that’s what you’ll pay to see an expert-whether or not you’ve attained your deductible. Your copay applies even when you have not attained your deductible yet. Different copays usually apply to urgent care, specialist visits, office visits, prescriptions, and emergency room visits. Copays usually begin at $10 and go up from there, varying on the kind of care you get. What Are Copays?Ĭopays (or copayments) are specific amounts you pay to your medical insurer when you get services. If you own a high-deductible medical plan, you might be qualified to set aside cash in a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account. If you have any family on your policy, you’ll have a different (higher) amount for the family and an individual deductible. For instance, if you have a $3,000 deductible, you have to pay $3,000 before your insurance starts fully.
